Day 1: Trip to Kibale; afternoon Bigodi Wetland Walk

Have breakfast, thereafter, travel to Kibale National Park to begin your 4 days Buhoma Gorillas & Chimp Tracking Tour. From Kampala to Kibale, the road distance takes 5 hours’ drive on Kampala to Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal City route. Stop at Fort Portal City to have the best meal before transferring to Bigodi Swamp for guided nature walk. Enjoy primate and bird sightings, thereafter, drive back to check into your lodge.

Day 2: Kibale Chimp Tracking & drive to Buhoma

Breakfast, thereafter, visit Kanyanchu for briefing at 7:00am-learn the different Chimp Tracking regulations. Set off for actual tracking to see chimpanzees with the guide at 8:00am and this is likely to cover 2-4 hours which include 1 hour to be enjoyed face to face with chimpanzees, taking pictures and also learn how chimps behave.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Buhoma (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park)

Day 3 of the 4 days Buhoma Gorillas & Chimp Tracking Tour commences with breakfast first, followed by briefing about Gorilla rules at Buhoma region. At 8:00am after you have been allocated to a gorilla group, expect to start your trek with park guide. Enjoy 2-6 hours’ trek in Buhoma which is inclusive of 1 hr of close encounter with gorillas, photography and exploring more about their behaviors etc.

You will then get back to chill at the lodge at Buhoma-Bwindi N/Park after 1hr with gorilla before visiting the Batwa pygmies later in the afternoon. Note, the items you shouldn’t forget to carry on this particular day include waterproof rain jacket, bottled water, snacks/packed lunch, walking stick, day pack, gardening gloves, insect repellents & first aid kit etc.
