About Buhoma sector Bwindi
Buhoma sector Uganda is one of the 4 premier gorilla trekking regions in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is in the Northern section of Bwindi just in Kanungu district, Southwestern Uganda. This is estimated to be about 8-9 hours’ drive away from Kampala/Entebbe and 3-4 hours’ drive if begin your trip from Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Buhoma gorilla sector of Bwindi is comprised of 4 habituated families. These include Mubare gorilla family, Katwe, Rushegura and Habinyanja gorilla group. Each of these groups accommodate up to 8 visitors and in total, about 32 gorilla permits are available for reservation.
