Day 1: Trip to Buhoma-the Northern region of Bwindi

Meet and greet your Uganda safari leader and later, get briefed on your 4 days Double Gorilla Trek Buhoma sector of Bwindi National Park, South-western Uganda. Begin your 8-9 hours’ drive journey taking the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara to Buhoma sector. En-route areas of interest to make a stopover include the Equator at Kayabwe and lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre western Uganda. Proceed to your final destination-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to relax at the booked lodge at Buhoma.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking Buhoma & Batwa visit-Bwindi

Following enjoyable breakfast early morning, carry your bottled water & snacks then go gather at Buhoma trail-head for briefing about gorilla trekking rules. This marks the first Gorilla Trekking experience which starts at 8:00am with park guide leading you through 2-6 hours adventure. Today, you will be trekking one of the 4 Buhoma gorilla groups and expect to have 1 hour with the group, learn about their lifestyles, behaviors & take photos. You will be escorted back but keep an eye on numerous species of animals, flora etc.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch, refresh a little and later, have your day ended with Batwa visit in the evening. On Batwa visit in their community, expect great entertainment and interaction, then return to be offered dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Second Gorilla trek Buhoma & Lake Bunyonyi visit

Have breakfast and after, head to Buhoma sector Bwindi with some snacks and drinking. Briefing will be done from 7:00am to 8:00am by Uganda Wildlife Authority official at Buhoma and he assigns you another gorilla group. At exactly, the park guide leads you through Buhoma trail to look for mountain gorillas marking the 2nd Gorilla Trekking experience in Buhoma sector of Bwindi.
Return from Bwindi Forest after you have had 1 hour with gorillas, relax and later, exit Buhoma area for Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is ranked 2nd deepest lake in the African continent and it is found in Kabale, South-western Uganda. At Lake Bunyonyi a splendid lake with 29 islands, you will have a refreshing evening at cool shores or even go swim-the lake is so free from hippos or crocodiles.
